Madison County, Kentucky Warrant Search
Under the Kentucky Open Records Act (Ky. Rev. Stat. § 61.870-.884), warrants are considered open records after law enforcement has carried out the stipulated arrest or search. However, warrants that remain active or unserved may stay confidential from public view.
Neither the Madison County Sheriff's Office nor the state court system hosts a dedicated public warrants search database. As a result, researchers must locate warrant entries online through alternative means. One can check criminal dockets through the Kentucky Court of Justice eCourt portal or request a criminal case background report through the AOC's Records service.
Offline inquiries can be made at the Sheriff's Office or the Circuit Court Clerk's Office. People checking for warrants in their names are advised to first contact an attorney for guidance.
